This Privacy Policy applies to data collection by CentrAlert, Inc. (the “Company”) via the website, www.centralert.com (the “Service”) and shall apply to your use of the Service. This Privacy Policy also pertains to other Company properties including, but not limited to, the Guardian Mobile App (“Guardian Mobile”) and the Know NOW! App (“Know NOW!”), known collectively as the “App(s)”.

This page is used to inform website visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service, the centralert.com website, or our Apps, the Guardian Mobile App and the Know NOW! App.

If you choose to use our Service or App(s), then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation with this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service or App(s). We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your first and last name, email address and phone number. We may use this information to contact you with newsletters, surveys, marketing material, product documentation or other customer service functions that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any or all communications by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email that we send. We will ask for your consent before using information for a purpose other than those set out in this Privacy Policy. You may also update or correct information about yourself by contacting us via the details in the “Contact Us” section of this document.

For users of Guardian Mobile, this personally identifiable information (first and last name, email address and phone number) is used to access the mobile version of your Crisis-Driven Alert & Control (C-DAC) system. This information is used for licensing purposes only and can be updated or changed within the Guardian Mobile App itself.

For users of Know NOW!, the only personally identifiable information requested is your email address and current location. Please note that this information is only required to create an account on Know NOW! with users free to access most Know NOW! features without the need to disclose any personally identifiable information.

Service Providers

We may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:

  • To facilitate our Service or App(s);
  • To provide the Service or App(s) on our behalf;
  • To perform Service-related or App-related services; or
  • To assist us in analyzing how our Service or App(s) are used.

We want to inform users of our Service and Apps that these third parties have access to your Personal Information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

The Service uses Google Analytics to help analyze how users use the Service.
